This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the FOR THIS application, website, and related services, together referred to as the "Service".

1. Information we process

Entries you submit

When you enter text into FOR THIS, your entry is transmitted through our backend and to our artificial-intelligence processing provider so that a response can be generated.

FOR THIS does not maintain a user-facing history of your entries or generated responses.

Your entry may nevertheless be processed or temporarily retained by technology providers involved in delivering the Service in accordance with their applicable data-processing, security, and retention arrangements.

Technical information

Our infrastructure and service providers may process limited technical information such as device, network, request, diagnostic, security, or error information where reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.

Purchases and subscriptions

If paid features or subscriptions are offered through Apple's App Store, Apple processes the payment through your Apple ID. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.

We may receive limited purchase information such as subscription status, transaction identifiers, renewal information, or other information required to provide access to paid features.

Email communications

If you choose to join a FOR THIS email list or contact us, we may process your email address and the information you send us. Marketing communications are optional and may be unsubscribed from at any time.

2. How we use information

We may use information where reasonably necessary to:

• provide the Service;
• generate and return FOR THIS responses;
• validate and deliver Scripture passages;
• administer purchases or subscriptions where applicable;

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not use your entries to build advertising profiles.

3. Service providers

Anthropic

Anthropic provides artificial-intelligence technology used to help generate FOR THIS responses. Your entry is transmitted for processing so that a response can be created.

Vercel

Vercel provides website, backend, infrastructure, and hosting services used by FOR THIS.

Apple

Apple distributes the iOS application and may process App Store purchases, subscriptions, device information, and related information under Apple's own terms and privacy practices.

We may use additional service providers as the Service develops. Those providers may maintain their own privacy, security, and data-retention practices.

4. International processing

Some service providers used by FOR THIS operate internationally, including in the United States. Information may therefore be processed outside Australia.

5. Retention

FOR THIS does not maintain a history of your submitted entries and generated responses for you to retrieve later.

Technical logs, security information, support communications, transaction information, or information held by third-party providers may be retained where reasonably necessary or required by applicable law.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through the Service. No internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on the laws applying to you, you may have rights relating to personal information we hold, including rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain information.
