1. About these Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the FOR THIS application, website, and related services, together referred to as the "Service". By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Please read these Terms together with our Privacy Policy.

2. What FOR THIS is

FOR THIS is a Scripture reflection service designed to help users explore passages of the Bible in response to a situation, feeling, question, or experience they choose to share.

FOR THIS may use artificial intelligence to identify potentially relevant Scripture references and generate explanatory reflections and prayers. Displayed Scripture is retrieved separately from a verified Bible text source.

3. What FOR THIS is not

FOR THIS does not claim to speak for God, provide revelation, predict future events, or tell you what God is commanding you personally to do.

The Service is not, and must not be relied upon as:

• medical, psychological, psychiatric, or mental-health advice, diagnosis, or treatment;
• therapy or counseling;
• financial, legal, or professional advice;
• a crisis, emergency, or suicide-prevention service;
• an authoritative religious ruling on behalf of any church, ministry, denomination, or faith institution;
• a substitute for qualified professional, pastoral, or emergency support where appropriate.

4. Crisis and emergencies

The Service is not monitored by humans in real time and cannot provide emergency assistance.

If you may be in immediate danger, are considering harming yourself or another person, or are experiencing an emergency, contact your local emergency services or an appropriate crisis support service and seek help from a trusted person.

5. Artificial intelligence

Artificial-intelligence generated material may sometimes be imperfect, incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular situation.

You remain responsible for how you interpret or act upon any reflection, explanation, or prayer produced by the Service.

6. Scripture

FOR THIS is designed so that artificial intelligence identifies Scripture references rather than generating the Bible text itself. Scripture displayed in the Service is retrieved from a separate Bible-text dataset.

FOR THIS does not claim ownership of Bible text that is in the public domain or otherwise owned by its respective rights holders.

Although we take steps to support textual and contextual integrity, we do not guarantee that every selected passage will be the only or best possible interpretation for your circumstances.

7. Your entries

You may submit text describing what you are facing, carrying, questioning, or seeking Scripture about.

FOR THIS does not maintain a history of your entries or generated responses for you to retrieve later. If you would like to keep something, save it yourself before leaving the response.

Your entry must be transmitted through our systems and to relevant technology providers in order to generate the response. Further information appears in our Privacy Policy.

8. Purchases and subscriptions

Some versions or features of FOR THIS may be offered on a paid or subscription basis.

If you subscribe through Apple's App Store, billing, renewals, cancellation, and refund requests are handled through Apple and your Apple ID under Apple's applicable terms and policies.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer protections.

9. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the Service for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or malicious purposes;
• attempt to breach, probe, damage, disrupt, or bypass the security of the Service;
• reverse engineer the Service except where a right to do so cannot lawfully be excluded;
• scrape, automate, copy, reproduce at scale, or commercially exploit the Service without written permission;
• use FOR THIS content, systems, or outputs to create an unauthorized competing database or service;
• impersonate another person or misuse another person's information.

10. Intellectual property

The FOR THIS name, branding, visual identity, software, original written material, arrangement, presentation, system architecture, and other proprietary elements are owned by ARCHĒA Pty Ltd or used under license and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Third-party software, public-domain materials, Bible text, and other third-party materials remain subject to their own applicable rights and licenses.

You may save and share individual FOR THIS responses for personal, non-commercial use.

You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, imitate, license, resell, distribute commercially, or use substantial parts of FOR THIS to create a competing product or service without prior written permission, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not promise that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, suitable for every person, or appropriate for every circumstance.

We do not guarantee any particular spiritual, emotional, personal, practical, relational, financial, health, or other outcome from using the Service.

12. Third-party services

FOR THIS relies on third-party technology providers, which may include Anthropic for artificial-intelligence processing, Vercel for infrastructure and hosting, and Apple for App Store distribution and purchases.

Those providers operate under their own applicable terms, privacy practices, and contractual arrangements.

13. Apple App Store

If you download or use FOR THIS through Apple's App Store, your use of the application is also subject to applicable Apple terms and policies.

Apple is not responsible for the content, operation, or support of FOR THIS except to the extent required under Apple's own terms or applicable law.

14. Changes to the Service

We may update, improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service as it develops, subject to applicable law and any rights associated with paid access.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising mandatory rights available under laws that apply in your location.
